Lop-Eared Guard – Extra 2

The cold wind in the northern night scraped against naked skin, penetrating into the crevices of bones, causing a stinging pain that was like being gnawed at.

Lu Shangjin was only wrapped in a thin shirt and wandered around the corner of the Alliance Building for a long time. Hands in his pants pocket, he gripped the old wedding ring tightly. That day, despite the obstruction of the engineering team, he rummaged through the ruins all day and pulled out the ring from the broken steel debris. After squatting by the beach and scrubbing it clean, he solemnly placed it in his pocket close to his heart.

As soon as he recovered to A3, he had only one thought in his heart, which was to immediately return to Yan Yi’s side. Even if he got punched and kicked, he just wanted to immediately embrace him, hold him tightly without letting go and kiss him and love him shamelessly.

Blood stains mixed with nervous cold sweat soaked through the fabric on his back. It really looked like he was in a sorry state. He should go back and clean himself up first, at least to cover up the wounds all over him, but he really wanted to see Yan Yi.

He then stole a security uniform and ID card, hoping to sneak a look at how Yan Yi was doing now.

There was no one in the omega’s lounge and the only open drawer was filled with two rows of medicine bottles.

Footsteps rang out in the lounge. Lu Shangjin had intended to take the medicine bottle and ask Yan Yi about it directly, but then he saw a Merlin falcon alpha standing behind him and heard Yan Yi call him Mu Lan.

That alpha’s gaze on Yan Yi was focused and considerate, but actually Lu Shangjin didn’t notice that. He was only looking at his coat that Yan Yi was wearing.

During this season, it would truly be cold as soon as it became nighttime. He searched through his whole body but couldn’t find anything warm to wrap around the omega.

He stared at Yan Yi’s eyes from afar. As long as there was a little reluctance in those eyes, he could immediately rush forward to take Yan Yi into his arms and use his A3 oppressive pheromones to expel all the alphas around him with justified confidence.

Lu Shangjin was looking forward to it, but Yan Yi was indifferent the entire time, not catering, but also not resisting, and spoke with the alpha with his usual flat voice, and ate a bunch of pills that he couldn’t recognize.

At that time, his mind was completely blank and he would only stare blankly at Yan Yi from afar. He inexplicably thought that perhaps Yan Yi would make Lu Yan call that alpha dad.

Lu Shangjin witnessed Yan Yi pillowing his head on the alpha’s lap from the corner. His body which had just been warmed by the heater shivered again, his tightly clenched fist unconsciously released and dropped the wedding ring in his pocket.

He remained standing in the darkness until Yan Yi woke up and left, then hurriedly went to the drawer where the medicine was filled, anxiously rummaged through it, and entered the names of these drugs he’d never seen before into the search box one by one. All the drugs he could find had the same effect – antidepressants.

His entire heart suddenly felt like it was weighed down by a lead block.

He went to check Yan Yi’s daily work and found out from subtle clues that Yan Yi would take a team to eliminate terrorist organizations.

Lu Shangjin’s anger and resentment spread all over the A3 Red-Tailed Hawk leader. He came to the door alone to provoke him, his fists and punches breaking seven of the Red-Tailed Hawk’s ribs. Listening to the alpha’s shrilling roar, the tight pain in his heart couldn’t be alleviated at all.

Later, he couldn’t help but to block Mu Lan at the entrance, yet he couldn’t touch him. After all, maybe Mu Lan was the person Yan Yi tacitly permitted to be by his side.

From that day on, Lu Shangjin lost the courage to face Yan Yi and only dared to be close to their lives in the darkness.

When Yan Yi wasn’t around, he would sit on a branch in the courtyard and look through the french windows at Lu Yan, who was wearing diapers and playing with building blocks. Occasionally, he would be lost in thought as he watched and couldn’t help but want to reach out to touch his little ears and carry his obedient little bunny in the air.

When Lu Yan noticed him, he crawled over and put a hand on the glass as he carefully opened his mouth to gnaw at the glass until a patch of saliva formed. Since the addition of a child at home, the french windows had been locked for fear and out of danger of the child climbing out.

Lu Shangjin climbed over the balcony and sat on the ground. His rough fingertips aligned with the white and tender little fingers of the little bunny through the glass as he taught him how to say daddy

“I am your only alpha daddy, remember it well? Don’t call the wrong person.”

The little bunny blinked his big eyes and looked at him in confusion, then curiously opened his mouth and revealed a row of small teeth, giggling.

“What are you laughing at, say daddy.”

The little bunny was so amused to death by this guy outside the window and gnawed the glass more enthusiastically. His soft rice-dumpling-like face squeezed into a flat lump on the window.

“Daddy.”

He only recently learned how to talk, babbling and muttering the word ‘daddy’, murmuring incessantly about god knows what he wanted to tell his dad.

Lu Shangjin pondered for a long time before kissing the little bunny on the forehead through the glass and whispered, daddy loves you too.

Lu Shangjin turned over and his head knocked against the corner of the bed. He held his head as he sat up and went to subconsciously hug the omega beside him. Only then did he wake up from his dream, remembering that he was kicked out last night and slept on the ground.

Recalling in the haze of his drowsiness, the scene from the day before came clearly into view. Yan Yi had glared at him as he pulled off his headgear, gritted his teeth and interrogated him, “You still know how to come back?”

Yan Yi curled up and laid on his side on the bed; his hand still hooked around the bars of Lu Yan’s small crib in his sleep. Last night, he had quite a fit with the help of alcohol and it took a lot of effort for him to fall asleep.

Lu Yan woke up, his long eyelashes still tangled up from sleep. Seeing his dad’s hand stretched out through the small bed, he puckered his little tail and crawled over to gnaw at it, revealing two sticky rice-like small teeth.

Lu Shangjin didn’t stop him and instead frowned worriedly. A two year old baby should have passed the mouthing stage where they would habitually put everything in their mouth to taste, but Lu Yan still hadn’t left it.

He bent over to pick up the little bunny and supported him on his forearm, his neck was gently hugged by Lu Yan. The sticky little bunny seemed a little uneasy and liked to be held, constantly touching the glands on the back of Lu Shangjin’s neck and wanting to pick them up to put them in his mouth.

Lu Shangjin suddenly understood then. He carried Lu Yan to the balcony and gently closed the door, slowly releasing soothing pheromones for him.

The little bunny’s ears stuck up. Lu Yan quietly laid in Lu Shangjin’s arms, his soft and thin nails gently gripping the alpha’s lapels and no longer put his little hands into his mouth to relieve his uneasiness.

Lu Shangjin knew Yan Yi did his best to love the baby, but in any case, he couldn’t make up for the love and protection from the alpha’s half. What’s more, Yan Yi’s mental state was really not quite well. Every time Yan Yi released soothing pheromone for Lu Yan, even if the amount was a lot, it was after all still mixed with faint anxiety.

“Baobei, daddy will be with you in the future, I promise you.” He stretched his finger out and hooked it with Lu Yan’s delicate little one.

“Mm!” Lu Yan revealed his small teeth and smiled shyly, grabbing Lu Shangjin’s hand and asking his dad to touch his little ears.

It was so sweet that Lu Shangjin’s heart melted until it could be pinched into shape. He kept his hands tightly held, afraid that he would hurt the little angel in his arms. The little angel’s glands were not that big, but he could already smell that his pheromones had a sweet scent of honey, as sweet as his Yan Yan’s, making him look like a stupid bear holding a big honey jar.

Lu Yan asked Lu Shangjin with his round eyes wide open, “Does daddy like Qiu Qiu or daddy?”

Lu Shangjin couldn’t help but laugh, teasing him that he liked bunny Qiu Qiu.

In grievance, Lu Yan pouted his cheeks and covered Lu Shangjin’s mouth, carefully telling him that you can’t let daddy hear this, don’t say that you like Qiu Qiu more in front of daddy

The baby’s innocent and understanding nature made Lu Shangjin’s heart feel even more unpleasant. Such a young child was even cherishing Yan Yi like this, he must have been working very hard in the past two years.

On the bedroom bed, the omega rolled over and rubbed his sleep-wrinkled rabbit ears as he sat up. There was a sudden buzzing in his head when he saw that Lu Yan’s bed was empty, but when he lifted his eyes, he saw the alpha pacing slowly in the balcony carrying the baby, talking and laughing with him.

He was stunned for a moment, and the scene that had been playing a thousand times in his mind appeared in reality not far away from him. At this very moment, he didn’t know what he should do or say, he tried to recall the words he had rehearsed, only to find that he had forgotten everything.

Seeing Yan Yi awake, Lu Shangjin walked back carrying the child and stopped a few steps away from Yan Yi.

Yan Yi subconsciously got up to pick him up. But as soon as he left the bed for half a step, his waist was grabbed by Lu Shangjin and was pulled over, tightly pressed against the apha’s chest. He felt warmth beating against his cheek as he was pressed against it.
